At our professional and relaxed Sydney CBD Optometrist office, you are in good hands: each one of our three optometrists has a minimum of 30 years’ experience and are skilled at prescribing spectacle lenses and contact lenses, no matter how complicated your prescription may be. The team is comprised of qualified optical dispensers who help you with your prescriptions and offer advice on all types of glasses frames or contacts, as well as ensuring a perfect fitting.

All our contact lenses are TGA approved and sourced directly from the manufacturer, so you’re guaranteed a safe and quality product.

Eye Test & Eye Health Checkups

We aim to give you visual comfort and to ensure you can enjoy healthy eyes and we go beyond that eyesight test and glasses prescription. At our relaxed Sydney CBD Optometrist office, you can rely on a professional grade full optical examination at which time we can also identify the presence of other health conditions that may exist without any symptoms, such as diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, which are some of the leading causes of blindness. Remember: early detection can prevent irreparable damage to your eyes.

Frame Adjustments, Repair, and Cleaning

All of our frames are custom adjusted to fit your face. We take special care to ensure that your new spectacles sit comfortably and securely, however over a period of time chances are your frames will misalign due to a number of reasons, from practising sports to simply falling asleep in them. That’s when you can rely on our on-site lab and the professional team of optical dispensers to guarantee the best services and the timely delivery according to your needs. We are more than happy to readjust your frames, bringing them back to their best possible fit.

Digital Retina Imaging Scan

Ideally, every patient should have a retinal imaging examination as part of their eye examination, as it is the best way to find early changes in the retina which may otherwise go undetected. This retinal imaging examination takes less than a minute, is totally painless and it avoids the discomfort and lasting effects of dilating drops and gives you an opportunity to review the images of your retinas on the computer screen with the optometrist in the examination room.

Optometrist

John graduated as an Optometrist from University of NSW in 1982 and has had 42 years of experience and has developed a wealth of knowledge in the care of his patients in that time. John has a particular interest in the fitting and management of contact lens wear.

Chris Savage

Optical Dispenser

Chris has worked as an Optical Dispenser for 23 years. He has a particular interest in fashion frame designs and the fitting of bespoke hand made spectacle frames which are available in store (By Chris savage)

David is the Director of Personal Eyes Optometry and is currently undertaking his Master of Optometry. With almost ten years of experience in optical styling and vision care, he has developed a reputation for helping patients find the perfect balance between visual performance, comfort, and style. Driven by a passion for personalised eye care, David believes every patient deserves solutions tailored to their unique needs. His long-term vision is to grow Personal Eyes Optometry into a leading community practice that combines advanced clinical care with a warm, boutique experience, helping patients of all ages enjoy lifelong eye health and clear vision.

Optometrist

John is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist who completed a Master of Clinical Optometry from the University of New South Wales. With over a decade of both regional and metro experience, John has a broad exposure to a wide range of clinical cases and hands-on skills across all aspects of eye care and optical dispensing.
